Breaker Morant

1 – 10 May

One of Australia’s most powerful and enduring plays, Breaker Morant tells the true story of Lieutenant Harry “Breaker” Morant and his fellow officers, tried by court-martial during the Boer War. Charged with the murder of enemy prisoners, their trial and sentencing raised questions of justice, loyalty, and the politics of war that still resonate today.

Sharp, gripping, and deeply moving, the play examines the thin line between duty and morality, and the heavy cost of empire. With its mix of historical drama and courtroom tension, Breaker Morant remains a landmark of Australian theatre.

This production honours a defining chapter in our history while challenging audiences to reflect on truth, sacrifice, and responsibility.

Written and created by Alexander Wright & Phil Clive Grainger.
Made with and told by Megan Drury.

A radical explosion of an ancient myth about the moon from the internationally award-winning company behind HELIOS, ORPHEUS and THE GODS THE GODS THE GODS.

A young girl watches the moon landings on repeat.
A teenager makes a list of all the things they are not.
A young adult starts to discover who they are.

A story about the light sides of us, the dark sides of us, and the things we grow up in the orbit of. And about the stuff inside us, all the wild stuff inside us.

Hand to God

19 – 27 June

A wickedly funny and darkly twisted comedy, Hand to God takes audiences to a quiet Texas church basement where a Christian puppet ministry spirals wildly out of control. When mild-mannered teen Jason’s hand puppet, Tyrone, seemingly takes on a shocking life of its own, the line between good and evil becomes hilariously—and horrifyingly—blurred.

Called “blisteringly funny” by The New York Times, this Tony-nominated play is equal parts outrageous satire and emotional gut punch, exploring faith, morality, and the monsters we all wrestle with inside.

With biting humour, unexpected tenderness, and a devilishly unpredictable puppet, Hand to God promises a night of theatre like no other.
